Qualifications of Elders, Part 1 (1 Timothy 3:1-7)

Larry McCall: "What should be present in every Christian, must be present and evident in the life of an elder."

"Aspires" (1 Tim. 3:1)--a desire, a sense of calling.
"Above reproach" (v. 2)--not perfect, but a life that would not bring shame to Christ and His Church.
"Husband of one wife" (v. 2)--a one-woman man.
"Temperate, prudent, responsible" (v. 2)--marked by self-control and good judgment.
"Hospitable"--approachable, loves welcoming others.
