Citizens of Heaven: Remembering Where We Are (Titus 3:1-2)

Larry McCall, August 10, 2024
Part of the Laurelville 2024 series, preached at a Laurelville service

How do we gain a hearing for the absolute truth of God's Word in a world that increasingly rejects the very idea of absolute truth? Even if people are not reading their Bibles, they are reading our lives. In Titus 3:1-2 Paul gives seven directives that may lead unbelieving neighbors to lean in, asking, "Tell me more."

I. Submit to rulers (Titus 3:1).
II. Be obedient (v. 1).
III. Do what is good (v. 1).
IV. Speak evil of no one (v. 2).
V.-VI. Be peaceable and gentle (v. 2).
VII. Show all courtesy, all meekness, to all people (v. 2).
