Jesus's Psalm (Psalm 22:1-31)

Jason McClanahan, August 9, 2024
Part of the Laurelville 2024 series, preached at a Laurelville service

Psalm 22 is Jesus's psalm. The New Testament writers recognized that Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of this lament of a faithful Israelite who suffers righteously and is delivered, and as Jesus faced the worst moments of his life at the cross, these are the words that came to mind to carry him through.

I. Complaint (v. 1-21)
II. Confidence (v. 22-31)
III. Jesus in this psalm
