The Ruling Son, the Perfect Man (Psalm 8:1-9)

Mike Yates, June 22, 2025
Part of the Psalms of the Son series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

I. Savor the Lord’s majesty and grace on display:
-- in the greatness of his universe and the weakness of his worshippers (Psalm 8:1-2).
-- in his kindness in caring for us (v. 3-4).
-- as he imparts his glory and honor to humanity (v. 5-9).

II. The Problem: Is it true?

III. Stand in awe before the Lord Jesus’s majesty on display:
-- in the greatness of his universe and the weakness of his worshippers (Psalm 8:1-2; Matt. 21:16)!
-- in his kindness shown in the Incarnation (v. 3-4)!
-- as he joins his glory and honor to humanity (v. 5-9)!
