The Danger of Having a Tongue (James 3:1-4:8)
Mike Yates, November 9, 2014Part of the Be Wise series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
I. The Problem: Recognize the danger our tongues create (James 3:2-12).
II. The Cause: Confess the wrong wisdom that so often teaches our tongues (3:13-18 [really to 4:5]).
III. The Cure: Repent from the self-protecting, self-serving, self-satisfying self-love that fights others and God (4:1-5) by humbly submitting to God and drawing close to Him (4:6-12).
