Sufficient for What? (2 Peter 1:1-4, 2 Timothy 3:14-17)

Mike Yates, July 20, 2014
Part of the Sufficiency of Scripture (Sunday School series) series, preached at a Sunday School service

There are topics Scripture doesn’t address (changing car brakes, open-heart surgery, farming, etc.). What does it mean, then, to say that Scripture is not only inerrant, but sufficient?

I. Grace, peace, live-giving divine power, and God's precious promises all come through the trustworthy Scriptures, giving us all we need for life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:1-4).

II. The God-breathed Scriptures bring saving wisdom and equip us for every work Christ calls us to do (2 Tim. 3:14-17).
